why are people using 1/50th as their shutter speed in 9-10ths of the videos I've seen around the web? At first I thought it might have been an attempt to normalize the flicker patterns of lights from AC current. in the interests of improving.įirst of all. I love the lack of noise and everything but I notice that some people are doing better with it and so. Wide area AF and subject tracking seem like the only "usable" settings for most stuff but I will end up going full manual a good portion of the time I think. I've done some basic shooting inside a restaurant during the day and a bit of test shooting at night and tested the autofocus modes. I sort of mentally slept through the rest of it. and anything that related directly to syncing audio to video.

I've taken TV field production in audio engineering school so I have at least a RUDIMENTARY idea about how film/video work but I emphasize the "rudimentary." Most of the stuff I actually paid attention to was slating, syncing MTC/SMPTE.
